Terms & Conditions
1. Estimates and Pricing
All estimates are based on the information provided by the customer at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply if:

Additional items are added to the move.
-
The inventory differs from what was disclosed.
-
Additional labor is required.
-
Stair carries, long carries, elevator delays, or access issues increase move time.
-
Packing or disassembly services are requested on moving day.
Final charges will be based on actual services performed.
2. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:

Provide accurate inventory and move details.
-
Ensure all items are ready for transport at the scheduled time.
-
Secure valuables, cash, jewelry, firearms, passports, and important documents.
-
Obtain any required building approvals, elevator reservations, parking permits, or move-in/move-out permits.
-
Ensure walkways, hallways, and entrances are safe and accessible.
3. Packing and Boxed Items
Swift Movers is not responsible for damage to contents of boxes packed by the customer.
Customers should properly pack all fragile items including:

Glassware
-
Dishes
-
Electronics
-
Artwork
-
Collectibles
Any item packed by the customer is transported at the customer's risk.
4. Furniture Protection
Swift Movers will use moving blankets, shrink wrap, and standard protection materials as necessary.
Despite reasonable care, minor cosmetic damage may occur when moving oversized items through tight staircases, hallways, elevators, or doorways.
Swift Movers is not responsible for damage resulting from:

Particle board or ready-to-assemble furniture
-
Previously damaged furniture
-
Weak furniture joints
-
Furniture not designed for repeated moving
5. Access Limitations
Swift Movers will make reasonable efforts to move all items.
However, we are not responsible if furniture or appliances cannot safely fit through doorways, staircases, elevators, hallways, or other access points.
The customer is responsible for determining whether items can physically enter or exit the property.
6. Delays Beyond Our Control
Swift Movers shall not be liable for delays caused by:

Weather conditions
-
Traffic conditions
-
Building restrictions
-
Elevator availability
-
Road closures
-
Mechanical breakdowns
-
Government actions
-
Other unforeseen circumstances
7. Payment Terms
A Deposit is Required for every Move.
Payment is due immediately upon arrival at drop off site unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods may include:

Zelle
-
Cash
Any unpaid balance may be subject to collection efforts and additional fees permitted by law.
8. Claims for Damage
Any claim for visible damage must be reported before the moving crew leaves the destination location.
Claims submitted after completion of the move may be denied if the condition cannot be verified.
Swift Movers reserves the right to inspect any claimed damage before determining responsibility.
9. High-Value Items
Customers must notify Swift Movers before moving day if any item exceeds $1,000 in value.
Examples include:

Antiques
-
Fine art
-
Luxury furniture
-
Collectibles
-
Specialty electronics
Failure to disclose high-value items may limit any potential claim.
10. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers should provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests.
Deposits, if collected, may be non-refundable when cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled move.
The customer's reservation is not confirmed until the deposit has been received by Swift Movers.
The deposit will be applied toward the total cost of the move.
The customer understands and agrees that the deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:
• Customer cancellation
• Customer rescheduling request made less than 72 hours before the scheduled move date
• Change of plans
• Failure to provide access to the property
• Customer no-show
• Customer refusal of service on the scheduled move date
11. Safety
Swift Movers reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe, including but not limited to:

Dangerous weather
-
Structural hazards
-
Aggressive behavior
-
Unsafe working conditions
The safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority.
12. Limitation of Liability
Swift Movers' liability shall be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Under no circumstances shall Swift Movers be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost business opportunities, or emotional distress arising from the moving services provided.
